Research news

1) A recent viewpoint addresses the magnonics review paper published together with Volodymyr Kruglyak and Sergey Demokritov in 2010. The review on magnonics has been defined as one of the most influential papers from Journal of Physics in the framework of the 50th anniversary of the Journal of Physics series. The viewpoint is found [here].

2) The spin excitations in GaV4S8 have been found to exhibit resonances that can be attributed to a Skyrmion lattice. Due to uniaxial anisotropy the hierarchy of resonance frequencies is altered compared to B20 materials. The paper can be found [here]

3) The Grundler group establishes magnonics research at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland, from April 1, 2015 on. The "Laboratory of Nanoscale Magnetic Materials and Magnonics" combines nanotechnology and magnetic materials research.
