Simulations on microwave devices and nanomagnets

Both, to optimize the all-electrical spin-wave spectroscopy and to interpret in detail the experimental data we perform microwave device simulations and micromagnetic modelling based on numerical methods. Programs that we use are, e.g., CST, MicroMagus and OOMMF. For simulations on magnonic devices we use in particular MicroMagus offering simulations with two-dimensional periodic boundary conditions. This is an important prerequisite for simulatuons on magnetic antidot lattices and magnonic crystals. Details can be found on the corresponding websites.
